Carli and I connected through a new moms and moms-to-be group, both due with our first kids within a few months of each other. She polled the group for photographer recommendations a few months before her due date—and was more on the ball than I was at that stage in my pregnancy, given that I (whoops) definitely didn't get around to booking a photographer for my kiddo's birth until after he was born.

While we were coordinating details, Carli warned me that the light in their house wasn't ideal. "Okay, no worries, we'll make it work!" Once their little one (finally!) arrived, it turned out that his nursery had the most perfect midmorning light to capture this sweet new family of three.
